Applicants should complete and submit their preliminary applications to the Membership Secretary using the Preliminary Application Form.

Attach the completed form to an email to the Membership Secretary. If you would prefer to print the application form and use standard post, request a postal address via the contact form on this website.

If an applicant does not know Members to propose and second their application, they should attach a covering note with more details of the voyage, including such details as possible, to assist in election.

The Membership Secretary will contact the applicant to inform them of the Committee's decision and, if not approved, the reasons for the Committee's decision.

Once the Member Elect has received notice of successful election from the Membership Secretary, he/she is requested to make the necessary arrangements using online banking or send/take the IACH Standing Order Mandate to their bank, to establish the Subscription. Then please inform the Membership Secretary that you have set up the Standing Order.

Membership remains provisional until receipt of the first subscription by the IACH.

Keeping Member's contact details up to date is a constant challenge.  The Membership Secretary must be informed of changes of address.
