Cape Horn Trawls

Hello everyone,

The winter has eased its grip on Shetland a little now and we have had a few sunny days and blue skies. Hopefully a taste of more to come.
In current sailing news there was a terrible experience for Ian Herbert-Jones in the Golden Globe race. Thankfully he is safe and well now. The front runners in the race have only around 1200 miles to go to the finish line and a hot shower and cold beer – arrange in order of preference as necessary….
Leg 4 of The Ocean Race will start from Itajai this Sunday, racing to Newport.
The start of the Global Solo Challenge is 5 months away. There will no doubt be lots of preparation to do between now and then. There are 27 sailors signed up so far.
