The celebration on the Hamble to celebrate the 50th anniversary of your pioneering solo non-stop west-about circumnavigation back in 1971 aboard the 59ft ketch British Steel is not only apt but helps to highlight the enormous number of your sailing achievements, your contribution to the sailing fraternity and of course the enormous and life changing opportunities you gave so many people on The Global Challenge.
